Dr. Philip Kenter, School Business Administrator
“It is truly a blessing for me to become a part of this wonderful Little Flower family and to do my part to support our staff and help the students that attend here. I see wonderful things happening every day here at Little Flower, to help our students grow and learn. It is an honor to work with such fine people who truly care about what they do and give their best every day.”
Dr. Kenter joined the Little Flower family in November 2019 with the retirement of their long-time Assistant Superintendent of Business, Ann Romeo, who served this district with distinction for over fourteen years.
Dr. Kenter grew up in Riverhead and still lives there with his wife. He is an Eagle Scout and long-time member of the Riverhead Fire Department. He is also a member of the N.Y.S. Association of School Business Officials.
Dr. Kenter believes that the function of the business office is to serve as the complete support role of the school district. The business office handles all purchasing, payment of bills, payroll and human resources, requests for proposals and bids, insurance, financial oversight, banking and fund management, preparation and implementation of the annual budget, tuition billing to school districts and agencies for student enrollment, accounting and adherence with local and New York State laws. It also provides monthly reports to the superintendent and board of education. This detail work is accomplished through the wonderful efforts and hard work of one Senior/District Clerk and one District Treasurer.
